Wonderful and very large bar pin by Fred Peshlakai. ca. 1955. Sterling silver and hand cut and polished #8 turquoise.  Signed FP over a long arrow. Hallmark: Modification #4. 38 grams. This striking and bold example incorporates stamped and repousse silver-work accompanying rare hand finished cabochon cut stones.  Purchased from Marti in August of 2017.  Sadly, and at a great loss to all, Marti passed away the following month. I'll always remember her fondly and the keep dear the conversations we had during the writing of the Peshlakai project and my visits to her home to hash over Nampeyo pottery.  A Grand Lady indeed who will be sorely missed.
